If things go extraordinarily well, you will have a window of exceptional success…not a lifetime of constant higher highs, but a period where things really clicked.
You won’t be able to see the window until it has already opened and closed because it pays to think you’re still in it longer than you actually are. But after you’ve realized and accepted the gift of the window, it provides insight into what to do next and why you’re doing it.
The wheel is hardest to turn when the car is sitting there in park.
But when you add a little forward motion, adjusting course becomes a lot easier.
If you’ve been sitting idle for a while it’s probably a good idea to simply start moving rather than trying to get the tires pointed in the perfect direction before you do.
-No one walks into a room full of people looking at their phone and thinks, ‘this is wonderful’.
-When you can’t think of it don’t pick up your phone.
-The video is not worth looking up mid conversation.
-At airports I look over peoples’ shoulders to see what they’re looking at…it’s all the same stuff.
Just because you miss it doesn’t mean you should go back.
It’s an honor and blessing to miss something. It’s not a reminder of what’s come and gone as much as it reminds us of the warmth and connection and inspiration that is possible as we move forward with the next thing.
