Thinking About Luck
Focusing on how lucky others are and how unlucky you are is only taking time away from the things that you could be getting better at.
The best way to attract luck is by getting better.
The best way to overcome unluck is by getting better.
While luck is a real thing it doesn’t do much good to think about it.
Ticket Takers
You probably didn’t hire the ticket takers at the show…but they are the first people your fans see at the show, so they associate the ticket takers with YOU.
Ticket takers are often over looked and under appreciated…that’s why they usually act the way they do.
What if you made an effort to make them feel appreciated? Whether they realize it or not they’re representing you…so it would probably be worth your time.

Going With The Flow
Sometimes you should.
If you read a blog like this one chances are you’re not usually the one spearheading go with the flow, whatever happens happens, let’s just have some fun.
But sometimes the people who have an easier time leaning toward this type of approach are right. Just go with it.
You might be good at dancing in the rain but no need to wait for the rain. Enjoy the sunshine.
Good and Specific Reputation
It’s pretty easy to gain a good reputation. Do good work, show up on time, contribute, be nice.
While it takes time for that reputation to spread, the real hurdle is coupling a good reputation with a specific reputation.
It takes guts to carve out a specific reputation because in order to be specific there are going to be countless scenarios in which you don’t get the call. And when the phone isn’t ringing we’ll do just about anything for the phone to ring…we’ll give up our desired specific reputation for the sake of short term gain.
But when you push through and build that specific reputation on top of your good reputation, the phone will only ring with the type of calls you are excited to answer.
Overlapping Dreams
While you’re focused on achieving your dream, remember that everyone you work with has one too.
What about achieving your dream helps theirs come true too?
Yours might have a vital role in theirs.
When you start seeing the interplay between individuals’ dreams and outcomes, you’ll begin to see how valuable and vital your contribution is to them and also how much you need the others.
