The chances it’s gonna work out as planned are very low.
The chances that something is going to work out (ie sometbing will in fact happen) are very high.
Things don’t often work out as-planned, but they never work out no-planned.
The plan is the perfect thing to deviate from.
If you deviate with no plan, that’s called wandering…walkin around lookin around.
