Music And Streaming Conversations
There are four main conversations I’ve had with musicians regarding streaming…
-Venting for a little while. Getting the fears and complaints out on the table.
-Speculating on how the streaming system could be better. It’s fun and daunting to come up with possibilities.
-Talking about actions you’re going to take to change the system for the better, or make a new system.
-Figuring out what you’re going to do today and this week on behalf of what you say you want to build…given the reality of your circumstances.
All of these are worthwhile conversations. The problem is that when we start to overlap them all at once without realizing it, not much progress is made. And it often turns into doomsday. Which, if that’s true, now would be a good time to exit the biz. If not…lets be intentional about having a worthwhile conversation.
