Repertoire of Responses

Repertoire of Responses

It’s worth increasing.

Whether in interviews or emails. And everything else.

The words you use, the tone, the amount of words, the questions you ask, stories you tell, your body language, the way you agree and disagree.

Increasing your repertoire of responses means when you start sweating and can’t think straight, you’ll have more tools.

And having more tools you’re accustomed to using means you can deliver in a more meaningful, powerful way for the people involved.

Increasing the repertoire means you’re probably going to make some mistakes, say the wrong thing, say the right thing in the wrong way, not connect.

That’s the price. You can’t have it all right now. But it’s a price worth paying in order to care better for the world around you.
